What is FreecoNet?

FreecoNet is a service, thanks to which, with the help of the everyday phone device, you can call all your family and friends for free, regardless of where they live and what telecommunication operator they use.

It is enough that you and everyone, who you want to call for free, have the access to the Internet and join FreecoNet.

In order to provide you the freedom of choice, we have built a platform that combines a number of operators and allows for the use of their services, according to your needs and preferences.

Additionally, if you don’t want to worry or don’t have time to look for the best offers in terms of connections to various countries, we have a solution for you – TelArena, which

whenever you dial a phone number automatically check sand chooses an operator, who will carry your connection out at the lowest price.

There is no need to sign any agreements, or to set up accounts at telecommunication operators; all payments will be made automatically through FreecoNet.

What is TelArena service and what does it have to do with FreecoNet?

TelArena is the world’s first service available exclusively to FreecoNet’s users that allows you to call people, who have not registered to FreecoNet yet. The service operates on their landlines and mobiles whenever it is a domestic or foreign number.

TelArena starts automatically during the registration of a new account and provides an automatic choosing of the cheapest means to fulfill your call.

Every time you dial a number, TelArena checks which of the available telecommunication‘s operators have the lowest rate and by its choice it carries out your call.

There is no need to sign any agreements with telecommunication’s operators, or change your way of calling; all payments will be made automatically through FreecoNet.

Is it possible to test FreecoNet without registering an account?

In order to test FreecoNet it is necessary to have an individual login (username) and a password. You need to register to get them.

By registering the new account with FreecoNet everyone has an opportunity to test the service for 1 month. During this time no fee is charged for using accounts and different telephone numbers: urban and internal, together with other services.

If you choose to decline on our service it is enough to stop using it. In accordance with our terms of use after 3 months your account will be deleted without any financial consequences or claims from the FreecoNet side.

What is VoIP gateway used for?

VoIP gateway is a small electronic device, which allows you to connect your traditional telephone to the Internet.

Thanks to that device you can use the telephone as you used to do it, without the need to turn on the computer making calls at the lowest possible rates.

I want to try out FreecoNet but I don’t have either VoIP gateway or VoIP telephone.

If you don’t have any of these devices you can try out FreecoNet by using your computer, microphone, headphones and a free software for making calls – ex. softphone X-Lite or our freeware Flashphone application.

If you have a microphone and headphones, just create your FreecoNet account and log in to user’s panel. You will find there a program designed for making phone calls from web pages. More about Flashphone application can be found here

What should I do to use FreecoNet after registration?

The next step is to connect the VoIP gateway, a telephone or installation of a computer program and setting them to work with FreecoNet.

If you bought a device which is ready to use with FreecoNet (FreecoNet Ready), simply type the serial number and MAC address in your FreecoNet’s panel (see how to do this). In case of other devices manual configuration is necessary – you will find more accurate instructions here.

After your account is created you will receive an e-mail with two passwords: one for the panel and the other for VoIP

In FreecoNet we distinguish two types of passwords:

1. User’s control panel password

User’s Control Panel is a web site, which transfers you to the system after logging to FreecoNet (when on the main page you enter a login and a password selected during the registration process). User’s Control Panel is a place where you can manage your account.

Through the web page you can:

- add new users (subscribers)
- add and remove new telephone numbers from chosen zones
- top-up your account, print invoices, look through the history of your financial transactions
- check the list of connections (on-line telephone billing)
- add and remove additional features

2. VoIP password

It is used to connect your VoIP gateway, telephone or a computer program to FreecoNet.

Thanks to that the change of password to the panel will not cause the situation, in which VoIP gateway or a computer program logs out from the FreecoNet system and shuts down. Both passwords can be changed in user’s control panel.

What is the difference between FreecoNet and other VoIP operators?

Admittedly each of the VoIP operators offers the possibility of making free connections, but only within a given network of the operator. FreecoNet is not limited here and offers free calls also outside its network.

In order to give the freedom of choice, we have built a platform that combines a number of operators and allows for the use of their services, according to your needs and preferences.

Moreover, thanks to FreecoNet and TeleArena you come with a warranty that your connection to users from outside the network will always be carried out at the lowest possible cost. Regardless of where you are calling, whoever (from the available telecommunication operators) offers the lowest rate for the call, wins the right to execute it. None of the VoIP operators will provide you with this.
