Interia.pl: 039 non-geografical area code at FreecoNet 01.02.2007
039 area code will be also available for FreecoNet users beginning in February, informed www.interia.pl information service. This area code has been established by Urząd Komunikacji Elektronicznej (Electronic Communications Office) especially for VoIP users. To date it was used by Telekomunikacja Polska SA (Polish Telecommunications Provider). Connections to and from the numbers starting with 039 were supposed to be regarded local. However, so far they have worked within the same network only. February will change this situation radically.
