FreecoNet: innovation is in details 15.01.2009
In order to meet our users’ expectations half way FreecoNet team – one of the most popular internet telephony providers in Poland – once more upgraded its platform. Several days ago there has been a new version of patch implemented, what makes FreecoNet even more attractive and easier to use.
The most important and awaited thing is the automated notifications system, which appeared both in clients and partners panel. FreecoNet users gained an extremely useful tool for monitoring activities on their account e.g. balance of account. Partners on the other hand may easily monitor the number and activities of their clients. Notifications are delivered onto mailbox according to personal preferences.
There has also been expanded the list of compatible VoIP devices, which automatically configure themselves to operate with FreecoNet. Basically these are Cisco SPA921 and SPA922 phones and Cisco WRP 400 gateway, which after typing in the MAC address and serial number are ready to use. Another useful information for users is that there has been added a possibility to import contacts to users panel from CSV files. There has been also streamlined the possibility to call emergency numbers. Now in case of an emergency you are able to establish a connection even without any means on your account.
There have been also added many upgrades in Fax Console, which is a part of Virtual Fax utility (it is use to send, receive and store faxes via Internet). There has been added a possibility called Print2fax. It enables sending faxes via printer driver installed on the computer by the user. It is enough to choose “Print” for example in text editor or excel sheet. Other improvement for the user is that now the contacts are visible right next to sent and received documents and number of pages that were sent. Additionally from the Fax Console level there is a possibility to reply on incoming faxes or resend the document.
For a greater transparency of FreecoNet panel there have been made some amendments in the descriptions of all utilities. Next to each of them, there has been added a quick help button, which redirects to a particular topic in the help section. FreecoNet platform was also translated into English and there is a possibility to switch from Polish to English.
