FreecoNet on Apple mobile devices 27.09.2010

Users of the FreecoNet Internet telephony can now make calls via their operators from iPhones and iPods Touch. The only thing they need, is to install Acrobits Softphone application on them.

To start using the softphone, it is necessary to download it from the Internet App Store. After running the application on your iPhone or iPod, from a list of available operators, select FreecoNet or Tlenofon by FreecoNet (depending on whether you are using FreecoNet offer, or Tlenofon on the FreecoNet platform), then enter your username and password. This is enough for the user to start calling FreecoNet every time when within the range of the Internet. There is a one-time fee of $ 7 for the use of Acrobits Softphone payable when you download the program.

"We were persuaded to establish a partnership with Acrobits, because of the growing popularity of Apple's mobile devices among Polish users, and also the confirmed quality of Acrobits software. We also know that the possibility of using FreecoNet through the iPhone and iPod Touch was one of the most anticipated features for users on our platform. I am convinced that this step will contribute to even more rapid popularization of VoIP technology in the cells, "- said John Wyrwiński, CEO FreecoNet Tlenofon SA.

According to forecasts, in the coming years, the strongest magnet drawing new consumers to the Internet telephony will be the possibility of using VoIP on mobile phones. For example - Deloitte's calculations show that at the end of 2010 the global number of mobile users of VoIP services should reach tens of millions. The rapidly approaching popularity of the Internet telephony in the cells is also reflected in the Juniper Research, according to which by 2012 there will be 100 million users of mVoIP. According to many experts, the widespread of VoIP technology in the cells will cause a fundamental change in expectations regarding the possibility of mobile voice calls, which will be a long term benefit to further dynamic Internet telephony development.
